Happy First Day of Spring!

Spread the love

This is a day most of us in the Northern Hemisphere have waited for! Spring is a time of rebirth and growth. It’s the season of blooms in their beautiful pastel colors- a time when everything reawakens from it’s long winter’s slumber.

When I think of Spring, I think of the colorful pink, red, white, and yellow blooms of Azalea bushes. I think of cherry blossoms, I think of daffodils or buttercups- whatever you prefer to call them.

I think of baby birds and bunny rabbits. I think of walking in the park on warm, sunny days with cool breezes and sitting in my backyard swing while the pets play in the grass.

I think of little ones in their Easter dresses or suits trotting around with their little baskets hunting for Easter eggs. I think of the Resurrection. I think of birds singing in the trees and butterflies dancing in the sun.

I also think of kids riding their bicycles in the neighborhood streets and cars full of teens driving around with the music blaring.

And I think of cool nights and the glowing lights of fireflies blinking in the twilight.

What do you think of when you think of Spring?

Wishing you all a joyous season whether it’s spring or fall in your Hemisphere.

Spring often means warmer, more dry/sunny weather, which means less physical pains… 😊
Plus not needing heavy, thick clothing… Being able to sit on my balcony in the sun with a cool drink and a good book. Flowers coloring the streets. Hay fever 😂 oh the sneezing joy!

Beautiful words and images Cherie. Wishing you a joyous, hope filled and wonderful season. Here in Australia it’s Autumn but the last week where I’ve been it’s felt like summer. Sending you lots of love and warm hugs my friend 🧡🌷

I live spring! I love the smell of the snow melting into the mud. I love the sound of the happy birds. I love finding brand new plants breaking through the soil. I love the reminder that hard times always end, and something new is birthed from the struggle.

Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful post on Spring.
Spring brings love at first, because nature plays a colourful role.
In India, we wait for this season with great interest. Famous Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore wrote several poems on Spring.
We celebrate colour festival known as Holi. We all are in joyous mood in this season. Here it is for two months.
You have presented an awesome post.
Happy time there in this Spring. Let us enjoy 😌🙏 ☺️🙏

Spring is renewal and rebirth! When we emerge from the cocoon of winter coats and woolen socks and don our bright colors and strappy sandals to dance in the warmth!!

Happy Spring! Weather is getting warmer here too these days, tho very wet and windy. I love the spring, signs of new life. I can’t wait till I can get out! I see the doctor Thurs, see how well my broken ankle has healed, and when I can start walking again and ditch the crutches. I get my independence back for the warmer weather coming! Something I am really looking forward too!
