Gratitude has a way of making life much better- it has a way of taking the sting out of any adversity you may face. It also helps you to put things in perspective. Gratitude isn’t about having delusions of grandeur. In fact, it’s far from it. It’s about realizing the blessings you have and counting them- making you realize that there is beauty in life if you look for it.
I will admit that sometimes, I forget to count my blessings and am not as thankful as I should be, we all get that way sometimes, especially when things don’t go as planned. However, as long as we realize it, we can quickly get back on the right track.
There are many things I am grateful for:
1. An awesome family who is close-knit and supportive of one another. I’m thankful for the love and togetherness we share and that we have healthy relationships with one another.
2. I’m thankful for my husband, Mike. Although we’ve had our ups and downs, we live each other very much. He is affectionate and open with me about everything. He works hard and takes care of me. Best of all, he supports me in my blogging and publishing of my books, which is something I thoroughly enjoy. I couldn’t ask for a better husband!
3. I’m grateful for my children. They have grown to be responsible adults who work hard, lead productive lives, and believe in God.
4. I’m grateful to have escaped bullying and eventually gotten to know my value and the good I bring to the table. I thank God everyday for opening my eyes and helping me to restore my confidence and peace of mind.
There are so many more things on my Gratitude List but if I wrote it all down, the list would be so long I’d use up all my storage space.
What are you grateful for today? Feel free to comment below.
With so many crazy and negative things happening, it is hard to remember to be grateful for what matters most. Thant you for the reminder.
You’re most welcome, Kristi! And you’re absolutely right! π― The world is a very negative place right now.
I’m grateful for my family, and the special bond we have.
That’s awesome, Raven! πππ Hold them close!

So beautiful my friend! What beautiful blessings. Cherie, Iβm so grateful for Godβs grace and love, my family, friends, my pup, my home, and of course, nature! In many ways I should not be here. Iβve survived and can now have a peace that passes understanding because of the rough waters. I miss my sons, daughter-in-lawβs, and grandkids ~they are so far away. Iβm thankful for you~for being a friend and someone who helps us all! πβ€οΈππ»π₯°π€
Wow, Karla! You are soooo blessed! God is so good! Thank you so much for sharing this! God has indeed surrounded you with earth-angels! I understand when kids live far away- it’s tough not getting to see them often. I pray you get to hug your kids and grandkids soon. πππΊπππ€
Thank you, Cherie. Iβm alone most of the time. And Iβve really learned to lean on my times with family and friends. And yes, God the most! Thank you for the prayers! I send them to you, too! π€πβ€οΈβ₯οΈπ₯°ππ»ππ

I too am grateful for you and your posts that helped open my eyes to my own situation. I am grateful for other bloggers too, who’s courage helped me find my own. I am grateful for my husband, my children, and my family who have been there for me all throughout and supported me, even during my psychotic times. Mostly, I am grateful for myself for gaining the knowledge, insight, and strength to fight for myself and the right to live my own life free without fear.
You are so blessed, sweetie! And I love that you’re surrounded by the love of your family! I especially live that they were there for you when those tenants bullied you. The love of God and of your family is something that bullies can never take away! πππΊπ
Such an important post!! Key to enjoying life. I am thankful for all of God’s blessings. Once you start counting, you realize there are too many to count.πβ€
Thank you so much, Tonya! β€ And you’re right! π―

Today is a really big day for our farm because in about six hours weβre headed to a meeting thatβs going to more than double the size of it π₯° Iβm DEFINITELY feeling grateful, thankful, and blessed!! Itβs harder to feel that way when everything is going wrong though. Thatβs when we need it the most. Sometimes I do a perimeter walk and I count my blessings or I drop everything to create some alone time for myself to be thankful for. It helps! π₯°
This is awesome, LaShelle! ππ I’m so happy for you! Here’s to a great outcome and much success of your farm! And you’re right- it’s hard to feel blessed when it seems nothing is going right. You’ve overcome so much and I’m proud of you. May God continue to bless you! π ππΊππ
Thank you so much! Iβm so glad weβre newly friends!!
My pleasure! I’m glad too! God puts people in our paths for a great reason! πππΊ
I agree!!
Looking at the world right now, I’m grateful to be safe. Housed, fed and not under immediate threat. Gratitude is so important and powerful, isn’t it? Lovely post!
Thank you so much, Helen. π You’re so right- gratitude is one if the most powerful things there is! π―π―
Gratitude definitely changes the mind and rises the spirit ππΌ
It sure does! π― May you continue to be blessed! ππ€
Thank you, you too ππ
I’m grateful for my family (my sis) and my loved ones who support me no matter how f***ed up the situations I’m in… They are always there for my mental and emotional support π
Thanks cherie for your beautiful post ππ€π
You’re most welcome! Second only to God, being surrounded by the love of family is the most precious blessing there is! πππβ€
i am grateful for having been given super care at the hospital yesterday for my day sugery on my hand. it went well and pain is on par with pre surgery pain except now I have pain meds…I asked! And I received! (The last 2 nights did emdr to help with anxiety over pain from the procedure- i started getting reconstructive surgeries as an infant for some birth defects due to a drug my mom took for morning sickness back in the 60s so i have an extensive amt of time spent in operating rooms and getting modifications- but when i got back home, no one cared i was in pain esp my Narcissistic mother who resented me even before my birth, no one heard my cries, no one helped and i suppose i developed early on, a sense that i was not worthy of care, affection or help; so the surgery and feelings of not being worthy of support or help triggered me. i am healing and the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing worked like a charm!!! i reprocessed my anxiety about pain and became my own advocate seeking out help for myself! i am regained my voice in that area! so i am super grateful and proud of myself! ( ps:hence the lack of capitals and puncs in this as i am a one armed banditt for the next little while.)
I’m so sorry your mother treated you so terribly. I’m also sorry you had health issues amd surgeries from birth. Being around a narcissist is hell, but I can’t imagine having a narcissist parent! I can only guess that it’s a feeling of entrapment. I’m so glad that you were given EMDR as a tool because it does work like a charm. I was told about it after my last husband died tragically and I found him. EMDR is a sure-fire great tool for anyone who’s been through trauma and has C-PTSD. Here’s wishing you a speedy recovery! ππΊππ
Time off work. I just have to make it through today.
That’s definitely a blessing, Greg! π Pray that the day goes by quickly! ππ
This is why i started my 365days of thankfulness this year. Gratefulness has away of bringing joy into your life. With all the darkness in the world right now, gratitude has a way of bringing in light. It has the power to drive away fear. Thank you for sharing.
You’re most welcome, Molly! ππ And yesss! In today’s world we need gratitude now more than ever! And gratitude and recognition of God’s blessings only chases away all the darkness! πππ

You’re so welcome, Cindy! π Gratitude makes all the difference! ππ
It sure does!! π
That’s a list to be grateful for, to be sure! It is so important to be appreciative of that which we have, especially when the world can be such a dark place in present day. Thanks for the reminder, because as much as I try not to forget all that I am blessed to have, sometimes in all the chaos my gratitude gets lost. Have a great weekend, Cherie!
You have a great weekend too, Peach! β€ππ And you’re right, in the midst of storms, it’s way too easy to lose gratitude. π― Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! ππ
You deserve all the things you are grateful for after the crummy start you had. Likewise, many of the things I have to be grateful for are the same as yours.
Awww! Thank you, Michael! ππ€ And I’m so happy for you too! You’re no longer a victim! You’re now a Victor! πππ
