One of the great things about blogging is the ability to listen to good music while you do it! Thank the Lord for writing and music! ๐ <3
To be able to do two things you love at the same time is a blessing!
“Gimme the Night” (1980)
“Let Me Love You One More Time” (1983)
“20/20” (1984)
“Shiver” (1986)
“Turn Your Love Around” (1981)
Ah, George Benson! My dad listens to him while driving!
Yesss! His music was awesome! Especially “Gimme the night!” It reminds me of my childhood! Your dad has great taste in music! ๐
Interesting! I like “Love Ballad” and “Breezin'”, both good picks for an evening drive. Good thing we still have the disc ๐
I’ll definitely look those songs up and give them a listen. George Benson is one of the best soul-jazz style singers. Another great one is Al Jarreau!
Ah yes, Al Jarreau! He’s one of the artists I occasionally catch on the jazz station I listen to, alongside the likes of Lee Ritenour, Joe Sample and Boz Scaggs.
Oooo, Boz Skaggs is another great one! I love his songs “Dirty Lowdown” and “Lido.”
. Oops! I meant to add another Boz Skaggs song, “Miss Sun!” Love that one too!
I enjoyed reading this and
I appreciate your hard work!. I know You have an impressive grip on this topic!
Thank you so much, Asif. This means a lot. ๐
One of my favorites ๐๐ถ๐ต
I hear ya, Phil! He’s awesome, no doubt about it! Other singers in his genre I like are Boz Skaggs (Dirty Lowdown) and Al Jarreau (High Crime). I’m looking for a George Benson song from about 75′ maybe 76′ but don’t know the title, hopefully I find it.
Some of my favorites are mellow songs like This Masquerade, Livin’ Inside Your Love, Hey Girl, etc.. Maybe you’re thinking of On Broadway, Love Ballad, or Never Give Up On A Good Thing? Thanks for sharing, Cherie ๐
You’re so welcome, Phil! And you just solved my question. “This Masquerade” was the song I’ve been looking for! Thank you, thank you!!!!

Oh yeah girlfriend, what a great guitarist he is. ๐ธ Those were some sweet jams to write by ladybug!!! โ๐ผ ๐ผ Go ahead and get your muse on! ๐๐ผ
You betcha! Old music is the best music! ๐ธ๐บ๐
I have to agree with you Cherie. ๐๐ผ The messages for me, resonate with meaning and purpose. Plus, I am a sucker for instrumentals and real musicians, with thought-provoking lyrics that complements the music. ๐ท ๐น ๐ฅ ๐บ Guuurrrrllllll…you have gone and started something here today! ๐ต ๐ ๐ถ
๐ค๐๐ I’m glad I started something good! ๐๐๐
Alright now, you make me think about Rufus featuring Chaka Khan and their song, “Tell Me Something Good”!!! ๐ ๐ฅฐ ๐
๐ถ”…tell me that ya love me yeaaah…” ๐ถ ๐ธ
Booyah!!! ๐
