I would sincerely like to apologize to all of the people who followed me before March 15th. I’m scrolling my list to read your blogs and interact and have found that what I thought was a bug, is a limit. Apparently, there’s a 1000 follower cap that automatically ends after the 1000th follower, which means that there are currently 148 followers I’m unable to see on my list. They are still there, only I can no longer see them on the list to read their blogs and I can only remember off the top of my head, a few of those 148 followers who followed me before March 15th of this year.
If you’re one of those followers, please don’t think I’ve disappeared on you. Know that I can’t see you on the list, which is what I use to read each person’s blog. Had I known that the list would be capped at 1000 followers, I would’ve made my own list in Word, starting from day one. With that said, I sincerely apologize if I hadn’t visited your blog in a while.
If any of my more seasoned blogger friends have any suggestions as to how I can get around this and get a full list, please let me know. In the meantime, I’m hoping that the developers at WordPress fix this as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your patience.
With deepest regrets,

You have it right Cherie, weird!
They cap a lot of things, which I feel for a company which brags of having a audience of millions for you to interact with is suppressing. It cost a lot to use WordPress effectively and I think they should remove these types of restraints.
I totally agree! Thank you so much for your comment! I know you and I aren’t alone in this!
It’s a big problem!
Hopefully the developers will fix it soon.
I’ve been waiting for a couple of months
Whoa! I was told today by a tech that the list caps at 1000 followers! Ridiculous! I think it might be time for me to self-host!
I’m probably going to do the same
I don’t know. I think there should be a way…If yours is self-hosted and you are using the Jetpack plugin to connect to the WP community you should be able to see all of your followers. I just checked on my son’s site and it worked. I do not know if WP has a limit as you suggest since I haven’t used them.
I don’t know if I’m self-hosted or not. I do know that I’m on premium plan. If I’m not self hosted, maybe it’s time for that. But I’ve heard it’s a bug and that over bloggers are having this problem too.
Well, perhaps Jetpack runs differently on wordpress.com than it does if you have installed the WP software under your own domain on a server. What I did was go into Jetpack, under Jetpack there is Dashboard, Settings, Site Stats and Akismet. I clicked Site Stats and scrolled to the box marked “Subscriptions.” In that box was a link called “followers.” His says 1,476 blog and blog is a clickable link which I clicked. there were two tabs, WordPress.com followers and E-mail Only. It defaulted to E-mail Only. I clicked on WordPress.com followers and I was able to see all of his followers. Since I am an admin on his site I was able to do all this. I don’t know if your interface is going to be the same or not.
Awesome! I’ll try that! 😊
And yes, I’m using Jetpack.
Really? This limitation is news to me. And I don’t get why it’s there. It seems useless other than being annoying.
I think so too. It’s super-annoying!
Hopefully it gets fixed soon, sorry about the inconveniences they’ve caused you.
If you are on a plan through WordPress then they are more than likely hosting you. You would know, if you were self hosted you’d have to get a web host, domain, updates to software yourself, etc. I’m cka50.Wordpress.com
Gotcha. I learn as I go. I don’t have my own domain so I’m not hosted. I didn’t think about that earlier. I guess it’s time I got one.
Thank you for letting us know. My theme has issues with the new editor. Great blog!
You’re very welcome. And thank you for your kind words. 🙂
