The following passages may be useful for people in serious trouble in the workplace. You may have been getting bullied for no reason. Or you may have blown the whistle […]
I was bullied a work a few times. 2 managers respectively refused to accept my Aspergrer’s and forced me to be “normal”, almost firing me at one point. Never apologized.
Another tried to disrupt my routine and sometimes force me to cancel requests for time off, threaten no-call/no shows if I refused to report to work when I wasn’t scheduled, bombard me about when I was next scheduled, even after I asked her not to, etc…one time she yelled at me about how to process men’s shoes as opposed to women’s and reduced me to tears. She then called me into her office and said I was being “silly & immature” and needed to “get over it”.
I had to avoid her when she was on duty so she couldn’t harass me, cos she knew how easily upset I got, and enjoyed forcing me to “act my age and not my shoe size”.
Many managers take advantage of those with ASD. It’s cruel and inhumane treatment and it should be illegal!!!
