We All Need Some Space

Spread the love

Many targets of bullying are afraid of being by themselves because they’re under the false belief that if you spend even a day by yourself, it means that there is something wrong with you. ‘Taint so!

Being alone is not always a bad thing. Solitude can be so good for you. We all need that “me-time”- some time to ourselves to chill and recharge our batteries. Trust me, I know what it’s like to never get any time to myself and to always have someone under my butt and it sucks after a while. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy other people’s company just as much as the next person, but not when it’s never-ending.

I have to have my quiet time. I enjoy the me-time I get while my husband is away at work. The house is quiet, and I can get some ideas flowing and some writing done.

On the days I don’t write, I can boogie down to some good loud music while doing my housework or go for a walk on a beautiful day. There’s nothing like sweet solitude!

So, don’t be afraid to be alone. Embrace it! You’ll be surprised at how refreshed you feel after you’ve had your private time.

With knowledge comes empowerment.

As someone who is currently being bullied, I can assure you I love my alone time. Its my time to refresh, take a breath and regroup. Its also a time to re-energize. Don’t be afraid to be alone.

Yes ma’am, a little quiet time with yourself is quite therapeutic. I find that I have to step aside and make time for a bit of solitude, not for the sake of a bully, but for the sake of my mental health. Good piece Cherie. You fill us with messages of encouragement and hope girlfriend. 🥰👏🏼😘💖😍🌺🌞😉💋 Relax, release, relate! Wishing you a restful evening and pleasant dreams my friend! 🌙💤😴

The lockdowns forced me to think more deeply about my life and what I really wanted. And to what extent others were controlling me. It’s difficult to focus when you’re always busy and distracted.

That definitely makes sense! 💯👍 I think the lockdowns forced many of us to do some hard reevaluation of our lives and what we put up with! And you’re right, people who are controlling do keep you distracted from your goals and dreams and it’s sad! 😥💔

I can totally understand! 💯 I’m an ambivert so I’m a mixture of both introvert and extrovert. And I need a lot of alone time too. Enjoy your you-time! 💖💐🌺🌻

I whole-heartedly agree with you. I value my alone time. That works well for me, since I’m a writer. I’m thankful every day for peace and quiet.

I am so with you on this one Cherie. Robbie Williams full blast when house cleaning and when my retired hubby is away from the house I need that time for writing and working on my photography! Keep up the great work with your blog. It is a great resource for me to refer people to that may need it. Lynn xx
