Euphemisms for Bullying- Darwinism, Natural Selection, and Survival of the Fittest

Spread the love

Anytime I hear people refer to bullying as either of the three mentioned in this article’s title, I find it cringe-worthy at best! And the words that immediately flash through my mind are “cop-out,” “trivialization,” and “excuses.”

To call bullying, one of these three things is to say that:

1. Bullying is completely normal and natural.

2. Targets of bullying are weak and/or undesirable and must be eliminated from the human race.

3. Bullying is required for the survival of the human race.

Allow me to rebut these three (conscious or unconscious) beliefs:

Bullying is anything but normal or natural. It is brutal, malicious, hurtful, and cowardly.

Victims (or targets) of bullying are NOT weak, nor are they undesirable. They may only think differently than most. They are often exceptional people with brilliant minds. Many celebrities, CEOs, inventors, writers, scientists, doctors, and professors were bullied as children and teens and have even been bullied in the workplace as adults. But they survived.

If these people had not survived, the world might never have seen many awesome inventions and breakthroughs, such as the electric light bulb, the telephone, or the first organ transplant. Where would we be without these people?

Bullying is NOT required for the survival of the human race; it can only destroy it.

An example of this would be the Nazi’s bullying of Jews during World War II and the slaughtering of six million during the holocaust. Now, do you still think that bullying is necessary for the survival of our species?

Bullying is NEVER okay! And sadly, I’ve heard many people refer to it as the above three. Understand that this is only a cop-out, a way to blame the target, and an excuse not to help victims who are bullied.

If you are a bully or bystander and believe this sort of tripe, then boy, are you ever delusional!

If you are a target, I want to assure you that it does not mean that you are defective in any way. It only means that you are an individual who is brave enough to think outside the box and that you refuse to be a follower. Those are characteristics that you should be proud of because you have a chance to go far and change society.

Don’t give up! Give yourself a chance! You never know, in the future, YOU may be the person who brings positive change to the world, and your bullies will more than likely end up living less than desirable lives. Suicide is not the answer. Don’t you want to live long enough to see your own potential? I want you to.

With knowledge comes empowerment!

Empathy can be learned; my hope is that empathy skills are taught at a young age worldwide. Make it a mandatory part of the curriculum (oh my, did I mention curricula reform?)

  2. Jen says:

And in the meantime, my hope is that more people stand up to the bullies as bloggers like you explain how their evil behaviour works, sorting the truth from the bullies’ gaslighting.

In the Bible, David was bullied by King Saul everyday!! David ran, and David hid, but David never gave up!! David did eventually reign as King and Saul lived a miserable life and suffered a cruel death!! Thanks Cherie💕

You’re most welcome! 💖 And you’re absolutely right about David and King Saul. David is proof that targets of bullying can overcome and go on to live great lives full of purpose! God uplifts the downtrodden!

I tell you something that can make it hard. A lot of people hating fighting whether verbal or physical. In the case especially in a physical altercation, it is not that he or she isn’t strong and can’t handle themself but it goes against their temperament. Not to stereotype but it is sort of like the term “Napolean Complex” which usually applies to short, small men often times not that physically strong. Those with the complex will often try to make up for their lack of physical size and/or strength and try to act tough while some people have the temperament that they simply don’t want to battle. That’s a good quality sometimes and sometimes bad because a person who is passive sometimes can become a victim simply because of their good nature. Sad but true.

You’re absolutely right with everything you mention here! I’ve know guys with that Napoleon Complex and they’re a sad bunch. I also know empaths who don’t like to fight. You’re on point with this comment. 💯

I love how you bravely debunked those theories about bullying. 💪🏼 I love this Cherie:
“Bullying is NOT required for the survival of the human race; it can only destroy it.” That says it all. 👏🏼

I can’t think of any logical reason where and why bullying is ok. Yet, we see it on some level every day, whether on TV, from personal experience, or we see it in the comment sections on social media or news articles. And sometimes, bullies are undeterred by their conduct and they don’t care….but one day….oh, one day…well, you know!!! 🤨😲🤭

I find it funny that when the tables are turned, those advocating for bullying complain of being “oppressed” and “victimized by cancel culture.” Bullying is rationalized, but only when they are the ones doing it. But when they’re on the receiving end, they cry foul.

    • cheriewhite says:

Unfortunately, that happens all the time. Bullies justify bullying of the target, but when the target claps back and defends themselves, they accuse the target of bullying them. I call people like these “crybullies.” But it’s typical of bullies. Bullies always claim to be the victims. It’s part of the bully playbook. There’s a psychological term for this- DARVO.

It’s in fact a necessity that countries of the World mainstream issues bordering on bullying into their working documents, say Constitutions.

It’s a matter begging for a serious concern especially in our institutions of learning and workplaces.

You have described bullying in such a good manner, bullies will always be there in form of people, who wants to pull you down and are jealous of some quality in you that they do not possess. So please get aside and move forward and never let them attack you mentally. You are higher up than that bully.✌

I love this! Compassion is what will allow humans to survive, not cruelty. Most of these words come from a bullies trying to validate their actions.

Hi Cherie, I just made a synthesis about the evolution, from the book “energy on evolution/ O Manique/ Theillard de Chardin” .

Radiant energy creates a microuniverse, tangential energy absorbe it.
When there’s anew need, there is a new muscle or tool
But aggressive people with less IQ (based on science) are anxious because they can dwell the uncertainty. While creative shy people (some times autistic) have too much ideas to solve.

There are some criminals with high iq, really dangerous , but really few of them.
