Now, more than ever, we must stand up for our God, our beliefs, and convictions. We must be true to ourselves, our hearts, and to the people who love us, and we must do it boldly and confidently. We must know ourselves inside and out.
In short, we must have the courage to be different.
The blessings of critical thinking and self-care can be dangerous today.
Sadly, in the last two years, this country has gotten so divided that people have lost family and who were once close friends over their beliefs, their convictions, their values, and their traditions. I’ve lost a few friends myself. However, I’m not afraid to lose people. It’s only God’s way of removing the people who were imposters all along and never deserved to be in my life in the first place.
Hey! I know it’s hard. But if you’ve lost people the last few years because of our divisive government and society, I want you to know that you did nothing wrong. Your beliefs and convictions are yours and you own them. And again, God is taking out your trash for you.
Therefore, sometimes, what is a blessing can feel like a curse. Some blessings require pain and sacrifice. But it’s always worth it in the end. And, who knows? You might end up with much more than you ever lost.
The blessing of seeing who people really are.
Although these blessings are quite painful, I truly believe that these last two years are a test. They’re a test to see if you’re strong enough to stand in your truth no matter what it may cost you. Never be afraid to be yourself, speak your truth, and risk losing a person you only think is a friend.
These last two years have revealed so much to us. Among the revelations are the true faces of those we thought were friends and were smarter. Moreover, these last couple of years have shed new light on the true intentions of our so-called leaders, whom we thought were loyal to us.
If nothing else, remember this:
You don’t lose friends, you lose frauds.
With knowledge comes empowerment!
This is something my heart needed to read! Thank you 😊!
You’re most welcome, Nova! 💖
Absolutely!
Thank you so much, Jeanne! God bless you, sweetie! 💖
You are very welcome. God bless you as well. 🙂

With knowledge comes strength. Someone in my life from childhood has ghosted me for over a year. Each day I see it as a win, not a loss. No longer do I have go to their hangout spots or listen to their marriage woes. No text messages about cheating or needing an alibi. My silent phone has brought peace.
This is so great to hear, Darnell! Clearly this person showed their true selves and I’m so proud of you for seeing it for what it is, a blessing! 🙌
This is so needed in these times
Absolutely! 💯 Thank you so much! 😍🥰
You make a very valid point in this post. We have lost the ability to disagree in this day and age.
Yes, we have, sadly! Thank you so much for your thoughts on this, Molly! 💖 You don’t know how valuable they are!
Frankly this is throwing a lot of shade on a political agenda. The country did not get divided two years ago, the division started years before that. Usually when people blame the last two or six or whatever it is because they didn’t get their way politically. What has changed is people are simply more open about their beliefs is all. Violent protests on both sides of the political fence whether some demonstrators in Black Lives matter or the Insurrection happened because some people believe violence is the solution.
In terms of God, we are quick to blame him when things go bad but slow to give him praise. We talk bad about him when we don’t get our way and we want to know why our Spiritual life is where it is at. Are we praying daily? Are we in the word every day? Are we in a good church? Not the one we live closest by but one where we are truly going? Or do we make excuses? If we have time to surf the internet, post, blog, watch TV, listen to music, watch sports, we have time for God.
This is all on us.
You’re right, Max. It’s been happening under the surface for over a century. However, during the last two years, we have finally began to see it. In that, we’ve discovered who many of our so-called friends really are. And no one is blaming God. But I do think this is a test to see how we hold up and whether we’re strong enough to keep doing the right thing. And you’re also right that it’s all on us. We’ve all been asleep and it’s past time to wake up. Thank you for your thoughts. They are both valuable and valid. 😊
Excellent, enlightening post!
Thank you so much, Monika! Sending you lots of hugs! 🤗🤗🤗

“However, I’m not afraid to lose people. It’s only God’s way of removing the people who were imposters all along and never deserved to be in my life in the first place.” – It took me a long time to realise this, and even today, I still struggle with that bit specifically. I’ve always believed in other people, in the good in them.
More often than not during these past few years, I feel sorry for myself, but what are you gonna do? I still believe…
Absolutely, Celt. To be yourself sometimes requires making sacrifices but it’s so worth it in the end. And liding a person you care about is never easy and does make us sad. But I’m so proud of you.❤️❤️❤️
