Aum Shanti
Thank you so much, Shanti! โค๏ธ Have a wonderful Thursday!
This may sound unimaginable, but throughout my years as a teacher, administrators have bullied me into not telling the truth- to not provide the best service to a child because of a difficult parent THEY don’t want to deal with. I cannot do it! I guess I am tough- My job is to assess the needs of my students and whether they have an attention issue, learning challenge or some trauma in their background, I try to provide the best service even amid rebuttals by parents like, “well, what do you know anyway- despite having years of experience and a masters in special education and inclusive education ( not that it needs to be said).” Some administrators need to grow a backbone- I’ve had weak administrators appease parents by changing grades, refusing an Ed Pysch assessment or completely removing individual educational plans which they initially agreed with and then when the parent objected, they cowered and quickly changed tunes. Mostly, I’ve been praised throughout my career for being prompt in my assessment- a Rockstar even! ( Never my words๐ตโ๐ซ) But when challenged, a bully boss/ aka my principals or supervisors will dethrone my so called stardom status and accuse me of being too hasty or not having sufficient training. Make up your mind bullybosses! Are you trying to give me a complex or cover your own derriere? I ALWAYS stand as an advocate for the child- telling the truth is being kind- who wants a child to suffer? Thanks for the thought provoking quote of the day, Cherie!!
You’re most welcome, Kim. And I vote number two- They’re trying to cover their derriere! ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ
Great quote!
No is such a powerful word but so difficult for so many to say!
Absolutely right! You’re said that perfectly! ๐ฏ Thank you so much! ๐
