Thought-provoking quote. I’m wondering what it means to let go of unworthiness. Sometimes, people truly are unqualified for a desired job, for a certain dating prospect, or for a too-difficult math problem. How do we let go of that?

We let go by attending college to become qualified, by realizing that some date prospects don’t deserve the time of day from awesome people like us, and by studying hard to complete the math problem. Maybe taking advantage of the tutoring programs your school has to offer and getting tutored in math. There are always other options and opportunities for self-betterment.

Holding onto unworthiness, like a badge. It’s simply the internalization of the negative messages we’ve received throughout our lives. I did it. Then I learned those messages were lies, projections from damaged people who shared their vitriol like Halloween candy. After that I taught myself to like myself, and that change radically transformed my feelings of unworthiness into accepting that I am worthy, that I am loved, that I am capable of more that I knew before.

This is the gift I wish each person gives to themselves!
