Hypersensitivity- A Hallmark of a Bully

Spread the love

Ha! And they call us hypersensitive. Oh yes! Bullies will accuse their targets of being what they themselves are, “too sensitive.”

But have you noticed how they explode in anger and indignation after the smallest of perceived slights? Or how bullies (particularly female bullies) will be the ones who dissolve into a puddle of tears if someone even looks at them cross-ways, or says something hurtful to them? Or worse, they get held accountable for their bad behavior? I saw this happen at school on several occasions and I’ve got to admit, it was hilarious!

In truth, bullies have the sensitivity of the princess in the classic, “The Princess and the Pea.” They bruise so easily.

The double-standard is clear. Bullies feel intense resentment when targets speak out about their abuse. All the while, bullies feel entitled to do things that are a thousand times worse, not to mention, unspeakable, to the target.

But we are not supposed to talk about that. Right?

Actions speak louder than words. And we must learn to rely less on words and more on other’s actions and behavior to get the answers to any questions we have about bullies, abusers, or anyone who does not have our best interests in mind.

With knowledge comes empowerment!

I was just insulted (assault ed) on Instagram and accused of being “stupid and irritating” I blocked her forever. Maybe I crossed some line? I was doing pretty much what I do here..trying to encourage people. I don’t always succeed. This bothers me a little…am I being too sensitive? Maybe I should avoid commenting on women’s posts? I like women and just want them to feel better about themselves. But maybe I don’t know what I’m doing and should quit all of this. All of my recent interactions with people tell me I should quit trying, that I always hurt people without meaning to…like Frankenstein’s monster 😓

Thank you so much! You’re doing a good thing for your son and I’m proud of you for it. Keep talking to your son about bullies. I guarantee that it will pay off and he’ll have the tools to protect himself if he needs it.

That is what always gets me about bullies. They will torture other people but if a little fire is returned on them they can’t handle it. Besides being bullies, it is also can be a sign of Narcissism as well. They also cannot stand it when someone in the pack they run around with actually has the guts to say something or leaves the group because they aren’t comfortable with what is going on.

WOW!! What a statement! That’s such a profound and very accurate description that we need to hold people accountable for all that they do. Thanks for sharing!

Yet isn’t it interesting that they are snowflakes, but as brutal and offensive as a snowstorm in the Anarctica? 🌬❄🌨 Love this message girlfriend.

I live watching Ginger Roger’s dance! And Fred Astaire too! 🎶 “I’m in Heaven! I’m in Heaven! And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak. And I seem to find the happiness I seek, when we’re out together dancing cheek to cheek…”🎶

And I love the Gold Digger song by Kanye West- the background of that is Ray Charles singing, “I got a woman” with an awesome beat! 🥁🥁🥁

I believe this! Going through this type of situation right now with someone. I spoke truth and got humiliated publicly by this person. When I know he is the one hurting or just don’t care anymore. He’s a drunk so.
