For a long time, they had me down years ago. But I got mad, do to speak. I decided that instead of feeling depressed and hopeless, I was going to learn as much as I could about bullying and it started in 1995 when I came across a magazine article about a boy who was bullied in school almost to the point of suicide. That article answered so many questions that I had and from there, I decided to start reading and researching bullying. So, I did over the years. In 2010, I started speaking out about the bullyingI suffered. Also, I began writing about bullying on social media. In 2015-16, I wrote my memoir about the bullying I suffered and published it in 2017. In 2016, I started this blog and have been blogging every since. Thank you so much for your questions. I’m so glad to answer them. β€
Thank you so much…so glad to know that you have been fighting against bullying for a long time and know you are an inspiration to those who are being bullied to take a stand to overcome being depressed. I am going to show someone your response then I will tell you how things are going. Keep fighting and inspiring…love π so much.
Thank you so much. This means a lot! π Do keep me posted on your friend’s progress. I want them to triumph over their bullies by winning back their confidence and happiness.
I know this is going to sound strange, but I got mad- not a destructive kind of anger but a motivating kind. I began speaking out and writing about the bullying I suffered and it helped me to finally start healing. So I decided to use what I went through to help others.
You’re right, it is. When I was being bullied I also became a bully to snatch back some of my personal power they took. You see? I was a young kid and didn’t know better. Since then, I’ve realized that was wrong and now, I use what I endured to help others.
I bullied my little brother and, sometimes, my sister, in response to bullying at school. At least I was able to apologise, but I think they will always be a little afraid. I regret that more than anything I’ve ever done
I completely get that. I bullied my brother at times when we were growing up also because of the bullying I was enduring. I’ve apologized to him and we’re closer than ever as adults. But I do wish I’d been a better sister to him.
Original and a good one.
Thank you so much, Texas Jack. π
