Interesting choice of song! I never really had an idea that this had something to do with bullying…until I checked the lyrics.
Just to add: Keren Woodward, one of the three main vocalists, is the partner of Andrew Ridgeley (of Wham! fame – Ridgeley was George Michael’s other musical half)
Wow! I had no idea about her partner. And it would make sense. Bananarma and Wham had hits out around the same time back in 1984- “Cruel Summer” and “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.” And I believe they might have toured together at one point.
I so agree! The 80’s had the best music I believe! I’m a fan of the 70s, 80s, and part of the 90s. After about 1997, music and movies started taking a nosedive.
OMG, love this song and what a great reminder about Bananarama who I haven’t thought about in years! Made me move my hips girlfriend! Good choice for an anti-bullying anthem Cherie!!! πΌ π€ π

Point taken! The 80s were a pretty good decade when it came to pop music. Lots of fantastic artists from across the pond — Bananarama, Wham and more.

Thank you, Kym! It was one of my favorite songs back in 1987 when it was on the radio. π
Oh yes, I loved it myself! Anything to make me dance! LOL π π πΆ
Amen, girl! And back then, the music definitely made you dance! πΈπΆππΊπ€ΈββοΈ
Oh yeah Cherie. And the messaging was different, unifying and not divisive! Great choice for today! π― ππΌ π
It’s surely was unifying, girl! Thank you so much! β€ππ―
