Oh Cherie, what a lovely and loving honor for a man so dear to your heart. This makes me teary-eyed and it’s such a special tribute that you don’t find among many marriages these days. You really have something amazing to cherish…a loving relationship! ππ€β€
Thank you, Kym. We get on each other’s nerves sometimes, but we love each other and he works hard. He takes care of me and I, him. And that’s all that matters. ππ€β€
Cherie, this is my second marriage and while we butt heads sometimes as well, I wouldn’t trade him in for anything in the world. He’s been a God-send and he helps to keep me grounded and balanced. I do the same with him. ππ€β€ We respect each other and each other’s opinions (albeit sometimes quite different).
When I give him greeting cards for whatever the occasion may be, I have to add some additional words in my own voice and while it’s difficult to find the adequate words to define our love, we show each other better than we can tell it. That’s what’s important. Don’t just say you love him, but show him, because it rings volumes. My hats off to you girlfriend. You ROCK!!! β¨ππ
How sweet, Kym! I’m so glad that you’re in a great marriage too. My husband has had it rough lately. He’s had to go back and forth to the doctor because his back has been giving him pain. And still, he manages to go to work and yardwork. Of course I help him in the yard. He works a lot of hours and I know it’s draining. I love and appreciate him and everything he does and I make sure he knows it. β€β€β€
I’m so heartbroken for you, sweetie. I know that no words of mine can relieve you of your anguish and grief. My last husband passed away in 2011 and it affected me in such a way that I almost did not marry my current husband. So I feel your pain. Please know that I care and that I will be thinking and praying for you. β€ππΉ
Almost 5 years. My current husband and I dated almost three years before we married. He began asking me to marry him a year and a half before and I turned him down- several times. But he kept chasing me. We even broke up for about three months but got back together. And I figured that if he chased me after I put up so much resistance, then he most love me. Most guys would’ve given up. π
So beautiful!
Thank you so much. He’s not perfect (none of us are) but he’s close enough to it for me!
Nice! And you take responsibility for yourself. That is so key.
Thank you so much. β€

How long did it take you to start feeling more comfortable with the situation.
